Westfield Stratford City Shopping Centre Jobs – 14,000 Job Vacancies Will Be Created, Claims Consultancy

Westfield Stratford City Shopping Centre Jobs - 14,000 Job Vacancies Will Be Created, Claims ConsultancyNew research carried out by economist consultancy firm Volterra, has suggested that the Westfield Stratford Shopping Centre in London could create as many as 14,000 job vacancies – 1,500 more posts than previously expected.

If this figure is correct then, when completed, the project will provide 10,000 full-time and 4,000 part-time jobs across a wide variety of retail and service-related positions. The Westfield Stratford City development will ultimately play host to 300 retail outlets and 50 restaurants and cafes – many of which will no doubt be hoping to benefit from a kick-start provided by the thousands of visitors to the 2012 Olympic Games.

One of the shopping centre’s major employers, John Lewis, has already commenced the recruitment of staff to fill its estimated 750 job vacancies.
