A mixed bag this week with more Christmas jobs being added but some hefty redundancies, too. Sad to see even good old Marks and Spencer joining the ranks – that was a turn up.
Here are the top ten for you.
1. Amazon – Rugeley Warehouse Fulfilment Centre
2. Christmas Jobs – 85,000+ of them
3. Marks and Spencer, Cheshire Oaks, Ellesmere Port
4. Morrisons’ Wrexham Superstore
10. Waitrose Superstore, Walton-le-Dale
Just outside of the top ten are:
- Westfield Stratford (for the first time in months)
- Am I unemployable? (my favourite)
- Sainsbury’s Christmas jobs
- Tesco, GlasgowForge
- Decathlon, Bolton
Dipstick of the Week
Not so many this week (thankfully) but there were three that REALLY took the biscuit for stupidity above and beyond the level of extreme plausibility. Therefore, since my choice was relatively simple, I now reproduce them in all their ‘glory’.
First place: “There appears not to be any link to apply for your jobs at Buckingham Palace. What should I do”
I just had to make this No1. Anyone knowing my views about the excesses of the Windsor family and the numerous hangers-on will be laughing their socks off at the notion of me being involved in their lackey recruitment programme – Ma’am.
Second place: “what kind rubbish are you doing here? i never seen a useless site as yours before! you re cheating the visitors and
google! i ll report you to the google web spam team.”
Anything else had to be an anti-climax after the top-spot but this was a good contender. It was written by one of our dear readers living in Lagos, Nigeria (as you may gather from the standard of the English). The clue is that it came with a s*p*a**m link to one of our ‘rival’ sites. Clearly they’ve had to resort to paying idiots like this rather than decent writers. Sad.
Third place: “How do i apply for a job in this store as i live across the road and it would be ideal to work here?”
Yikes! I’m moving! I’ll just grab a couple of litres of milk and some doughnuts first, though.
That’s the ‘fun’ over for another week. Hope you enjoyed reading the review and that you’ll tune in again in a mere 7 days time for another thrilling instalment.
