Welcome to this week’s round-up of what made our Top Ten.
1. Amazon – Rugeley Warehouse Fulfilment Centre
Top of the heap yet again are Amazon’s 700 job vacancies. If you like wide open spaces, then hurry up and get your application in for a job in the UK’s biggest privately-owned warehouse.
2. Westfield Stratford City Shopping Centre
It’s been in our charts forever, with 14,000 jobs on offer before the London Olympics get underway and afterwards in the huge retail area.
Tesco are building a massive superstore in Yate. Standing at 1.4 hectares, it will generate hundreds of job vacancies when it opens this October.
4. Marks And Spencer Cheshire Oaks Superstore
Up a couple of places is M&S’ 1.4 hectare flagship store at Cheshire Oaks on the Wirral. When it’s finished, Marks and Spencer will be giving work to 350 people – will you be one of them?
5. Asda Superstore In Birkenhead
400 full-time and part-time job vacancies are up for grabs at Asda’s superstore on the Wirral (it’s a busy place, isn’t it?).
6. Morrisons’ Wrexham Superstore
Not a million miles from the Wirral, is Morrisons’ superstore in Wrexham which will create 350 job vacancies.
7. Amazon Customer Service Centre In Edinburgh
It’s Amazon again and their Edinburgh Customer Service Centre with its 900 job possibilities.
Where do these cretins keep coming from? Not only that, if we really were the employers that we’re perceived as being, how does anyone think that writing things like “ur sit not cler wer i get apliccaton form?” is going to impress an employer? I’ve given the top 2 at the end of this review quoted verbatim – you judge.
9. Waitrose Double-Whammy In Chester
Back to the Wirral yet again. Waitrose are opening two supermarkets in Birkenhead with 70 job vacancies available. They start recruiting any day now.
10. How To Write A Covering Letter For Your Job Application
Jobs are hard enough to find without chucking them away for the want of a decent covering letter. We explain the whats and whys of what makes a good one and all for free, too.
The winner of this week’s ‘Dipstick Of The Week’ award is:
“hi there i m looking for job day and night”
No wonder there are so few job vacancies if this guy is single-handedly taking them all (along with countless packets of ‘Proplus’ too). He must have one hell of a mortgage.
Close behind was this one:
“id love to work here full time at the chester greyhound park ! how do i apply?”
The only job that I think they’d be suitable for probably involves stuffing a gone-off pork chop in their rear pocket and running like stink (excuse the pun).
Why not follow the latest job news on Facebook?
That’s it for me. Have a good weekend and watch this space!
