A relatively quiet week on the jobs front this week with nothing terribly earth-shattering to report. It’s the run down period to Christmas so employers are concentrating on how busy (or quiet) the season will be and staffing accordingly. We’ve covered many of the main retail companies and their seasonal recruitment drive and you’ll find a link to this in our Number 4 place.
OK, well, here goes!
1. Amazon – Rugeley Warehouse Fulfilment Centre
2. Morrisons’ Wrexham Superstore
3. Marks and Spencer, Cheshire Oaks, Ellesmere Port
4. Christmas Jobs – 85,000+ of them
5. Waitrose Superstore, Walton-le-Dale
7. Job Application Forms – Direct links to the application pages of over 300 companies
9. How To Apply For A Job At Tesco
10. Westfield-Stratford Shopping Centre
- The Range, Burton-on-Trent
- Marks and Spencer, Champs Elysées
- Buckingham Palace job vacancies
- Waitrose, 600 jobs to be created in North West
- New Forth Road Bridge
Dipstick of the Week
The answer is that they don’t. It’s ‘Thanks but no thanks’ letter time.
First place: “Hi. I am looking for full time jobs. If there is any vacines then let me know. thank you”
So unemployment has reached epidemic proportions and we now need ‘vacines’, do we? That’s enough needle, don’t you reckon?
Second place: “DEAR <company name> GIBRALTER BRITISH STERLING CONVERTIONS PLEASE CONFIRM THAT I CAN USE MY UNITED KINGDOM GLORY ENGLAND GREATER BRITAIN <company name> GIFTCARD WHATS IN BRITISH POUNDS AS TO USE IN THE GIBRALTER <company name> THANKS VERY KINDLY WISHING ALL A VERY MERRY FESTIVE4SEASONS OF XMAS11 AND VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR12 OK DET ASAP TAKE CARE”
And continuing the subject of medication, clearly someone hasn’t been taking theirs. Sorry for the capitals but that’s how it came.
Third place: “I need a job”
Yes, I can believe that (this was the complete and unabridged message).
Thanks for reading. All of us at Jobvacancies.org wish you a good weekend and hope you’ll keep coming back for more. Remember, we just say it as it is. No bloat, no party politicals, no councillors sitting on the fence, and, most of all, no hidden agenda.
