Sainsbury’s have said that they will be looking to find recruits for 15,000 Christmas job vacancies this year – an increase of 1,000 on last year.
Not only does it represent a chance to get a some Christmas spending money – of last year’s 14,000 recruits, over 2,000 ended up with permanent jobs. Typical positions include check-out staff, customer service personnel and delivery workers.
At its festive busiest, Sainsbury’s will process approaching 30m transactions in one week.
