The Royal Mail have started their recruitment campaign for temporary Christmas posties.
The jobs traditionally appeal to students and others who have time on their hands during the Christmas break although, with some of the positions running from November to January, there is a chance to earn some serious cash.
There will be an estimated 18,000 job vacancies created in order to deal with the likely 2 billion items that will pass through various Royal Mail sorting offices this Christmas. That works out at about 120 million on a busy day.
The temporary jobs will be in both sorting and delivering.
Given last year’s rush when about 70,000 people applied, if you are interested don’t hang around – get your application in.
