Marstons Inns and Taverns are planning to spend £2½m on a new 180-cover pub-restaurant at Kingmoor Park, Carlisle, Cumbria – a project which will create 60 job vacancies.
The green-field site chosen for the building is situated just off Carlisle’s new western bypass, and, since outline planning permission for a pub-restaurant is already in place, there are likely to be few objections. Marstons say that their projected completion date is September next year and that the finished restaurant will have a plan area of around 750 square metres, contain indoor and outdoor seating, and come with a play area for children.
