Marks and Spencer have built up a unique brand presence with the concept of their understated (but understood) quality in their produce and garments in particular. Brands need to develop and move with the times, though, and that is where the Marketing department comes in; finding novel ways of demonstrating to a new generation of customers just why they should go into a Marks and Spencer store and make a purchase.
With such a huge range of goods and produce on offer, there are always lots of new lines to promote and established lines to revamp.
Requirements
As a member of the Marks and Spencer marketing team, you will be required to create and present the company brand in new ways yet, at the same time, ensuring a cohesive look both in the store’s presentation and its products.
In order to achieve this, you will need to appreciate the complexities of the marketplace while, at the same time, working alongside product teams and suppliers. You will be expected to have a strong background in retail marketing, excellent communication skills, a streak of creativity, and brand awareness.
Location
Marketing jobs are based at the company’s headquarters at Waterside House in London.
