In your job as a Marks and Spencer Food Section Manager, your responsibilities are to:
- Motivate your team into providing excellent service.
- Oversee deliveries and all aspects of food handling and storage.
- Conceive and implement new display and promotional ideas.
- Provide expert advice to clients if they need help.
- Develop ideas for improving sales and customer experience.
Marks and Spencer are looking for someone who has:
- A minimum of two years of experience in food management.
- Commercial awareness.
- A passion for food and high standards.
- The ability to think on their feet.
- A track record of driving sales up.
- The talent for thriving in a constantly changing environment
Marks and Spencer only sell their own label products which are famous for their quality. The food department is constantly looking at ways of adapting to demand and innovating its range and style of presentation. For example, Marks and Spencer recently introduced the stating of a produce’s source on its wrapper – a novel concept for the UK food market.
Your department is expected to be passionate about Marks and Spencer’s food range, and be dedicated to maintaining the highest of standards and supporting the famous M & S brand.
Salary: £18,000 – £25,000 dependent on the location of the store and the post-holder’s level of experience. The natural progression for a Food Section Manager is to become a Commercial Manager.
