Marks and Spencer Food Customer Assistant Jobs

As a Marks and Spencer Food Customer Assistant, your job is to make sure that all products are correctly and hygienically handled and stored. Not only that, you will be expected to keep an eye on the shelves so that they are never empty and also to rotate the stock, bringing the older stock to the fore.

Many of Marks and Spencer’s customers are health-conscious which is one of the reasons why they choose M&S food products. You will be called upon to advise them about dietary requirements, allergies etc in relation to the foods on the shelves.

Marks and Spencer only stock their own brand food products and are constantly looking to innovate the way in which their produce is marketed – for example by including the farmer’s details on packs and by introducing steam-release sachets.

You will be expected to be enthusiastic about food and to communicate your enthusiasm to the store’s clients.

Since the shelves need to be fully stocked at the time of opening, the Food Section’s staff come in early.
