August numbers are showing a severe decline in the full-time job placements within the UK, down from 60.2 in July to 56.3. This is as low as it has been since October 2009. However the slump, any readings over 50 actually show increase in job placements, possibly showing that there is hope for the market, just hitting a slump for the year. The UK job market seems periled, however, with future plans showing a sharp decline in jobs within the country.
Austerity is still in the wind going forward through this low point of full time job placements in the UK. Prime Minister David Cameron has announced reduction in the already record budget deficit, meaning a loss of several jobs, including as much as 9% of government positions between now and 2015. The cuts may seem crude in a dark period for job placement, but have been the plans for quite some time in an effort to repair an economy that has been trashed with the job market.
The economy is definitely not as it should be, and jobs are getting harder to find, but there seems to be some still in the UK that are hopeful there will be a turn for the better. With several companies attempting to bring forward several jobs to the UK market, there may be some sort of increase in job placements, but it will definitely get worse before it gets better.
The only thing for the UK residents to do is find the secure career paths and work hard to remain within a secure position and avoiding government or public sector employment as budget cuts take several employees out of their security. Getting a job may not be as easy as it once was, but searching for the most in demand professions in the UK can ensure you stay in a top position in the work force.
