D2 Jeans Goes Into Administration – Hundreds Of Jobs In Jeopardy

D2 Jeans, the High Street jeans retailer based in Dundonald, Ayrshire, has gone into administration immediately after the Christmas period.

So far, 19 of D2 Jeans 47 stores have been closed by specialist administrators, BDO LLP, with around 200 workers having already been made redundant. The other stores will be run as a going concern while BDO attempt to find a buyer.

The usual ‘difficult trading conditions’ have been blamed for the collapse of D2 Jeans.

The company also went into administration two years ago when 40 of the then 72 stores were saved by a management buy-out.
